This is why, IMO, domaindiscount24 sucks:
With my credit card nearing max, dd24 tried to push through a charge for a large number of domains, which would have exceeded the card: the charge was denied. Of the domains in this batch, there were 5 that I truly wished to retain. I attempted to contact them on multiple occasions asking them to break the transaction into two parts, so that I could renew the domains that I considered a priority.
1. All dd24 ever did was attempt to charge and recharge the full invoice.
2. On the site, I attempted to group the domains into a smaller invoice, and set to 'renew immediately', which it never did.
3. Eventually, they renewed 5 domains that were expiring LATER than the original five I was asking for. They literally went out of their way to ensure that the domains that I requested to be renewed ended up expiring.
I started affiliate marketing in Late January/February, many years ago. As such, I have dozens of charges coming at me during this period from a variety of automatic renewals - from domains to hosting charges. Even though I had submitted three seperate payments to my CC, there was never quite enough free to debit the entire invoice at once ( once it was within 10 dollars! ) . So, yeah, I was having a cash flow problem. However, dd24 ignored my attempts to break this bill into an easily manageable bill.
And so, a number of domains have been removed form my account, including the 5 that I considered a priority. dd24 now claims that I will have to pay 90 euros to reinstate the domains plus some dumbass tax, or take my chances when they drop. IMO, they would love to see them drop and pick them up for themselves.
IMO, dd24 is a terrible registrar in that:
1. They rely exclusively on automated processes and do not attempt to work with their customers. In fact, they IGNORE their customers. I can personally vouch for this, despite ay claims they may make.
2. Their application online is non-intuitive. I tried multiple times to get individual, top priority domains renewed unsuccessfully, not because of my CC, but because their system would not do what I was asking it to do - which was to renew specific domains immediately.
Who would you rather deal with, in registering .in domains? I need some good ideas, so I can promote everyone BUT these guys on the 150 domains that I own.
I also need some ideas as to where to transfer the remaining .in domains to. Any registrars out there that you trust? If dd24 does not make this right somehow, I will transfer those immediately and never use them again. Additionally, I will give them bad press permanently on multiple sites that I own.
Roughly 9K people a day surf my sites. Not a lot, I know, by many of your standards, but that's 9K people a day that are going to see exactly what I think of this company unless I get some satisfaction from them.
