Domain Sales Platforms

Hi,

There might be a robust conversation about this already somewhere else, but I can't seem to find one.

What are the best free domain sales platforms from your experience that a domainer with a significant portfolio should really be listing at?

From my experience, I have had a number of sales on Sedo, Afternic and NameDrive - hence those are the ones I feel are essential to list on.

Are there any major ones that I should list at, and are there any that are missing?

Cheers!

Didn't know GoDaddy offers listing services - is it paid, and doesn't SedoMLS or AfternicDLS already mean that the domain name will be listed on GoDaddy?

Then is there any reason to list with Godaddy separately?

yes.

Oh right ok. Thanks.

I'm assuming then if you list with Godaddy and SedoMLS together, Godaddy will take precedence?

not sure. probably you need to list with GD first to make sure it would take precedence. never tried MLS personally - see no advantage in it if a name is listed on Sedo+GD+Afternic the rest is a marginal audience imho.
GD Premium can be good for keyword names btw but it's only avail for GD regged names and only com/net/org.. 30% applies

for me Sedo works best, then direct website/whois contacts, then GD.. no single offer via Afternic as far as i can recall, maybe a couple of price requests

correction: just did the math - direct contacts via website/whois plus Domainnamesales parking page lead in terms of sales/offers.. Sedo in the second place now

That's interesting. I've actually never heard of domainnamesales until today - do they have a sales platform without requiring you to park with them? I just signed up to them.

as of now there are two ways for buyers to find your names at DNS - via parking page and via DNS website search form. thou currently their search returns Nothing found for my domains that are not parked with them (not using their dns servers) - be it parked elsewhere or developed or having a landing page on my own vps. i see no point in filtering out not parked names from the marketplace so i filed a request for those names to be searchable/avail for bidding too.. remains to seen if that will be implemented in the nearest future.. they are rolling out new features and enchancements every now and then..

anyways the platform looks awesome to me already to park/list on. of course every one should test parking perfomance first when it comes to high trafficked names - they are not guarateed to keep their results as with your current parking company because of different templates etc

Yes. Even if you have listed on Sedo first. Once you list on GoDaddy, the Sedo listing on GoDaddy goes away.
