I'm looking for a free and simple (read moron proof) domain redirect script. I have multiple domains that I want to send to one host. For example, if I enter http://mydomain.com it goes to http://myOTHERdomain.com and the script detects the typed in url and sends it to appropriate file/folder or even a third url.

Is this possible?

You can log into your main Domains Hosting panel and just Park the other Domians on it, this will redirect those Parked Domains to your main site/name.

err, ahh ??? Some of these domains are registered with (ugh) Directi and they don't offer a redirect page, so I have to send them directly to a hosted site. I use zone edit for a few of them. I was hoping I could do this from within a script at my hosted site. I picked up a partial piece of code today, but it is not complete. What I have looks like javascript.

I think what he meant was that if you have a control panel for your hosting for http://myOTHERdomain.com , log into that control panel and look for "park domain" option. Here type in mydomain.com to park it. Now in the domain registrar's panel for mydomain.com you set the nameservers the same as myOTHERdomain.com Then it'll work the way you want it to.

I think I got that snippet of code figured out. I need to let the nameserver changes propogate (is that the word?), then we'll see. If everything works ok I'll post the code so others can use it.

If it doesn't work post again, I have some jacascript that'll do it

I got a code that will do it easy. All you want is for it to redirect, right?? I got a redirect w/ a countdown script and w/o one. You can do it in your domain's cPanel easy too :p

If you have cPanel you can simply click on Redirects... that's what I do..

are you looking for a meta refresh?

<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="REFRESH"
content="0; URL=http://typeinyour.comhere">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type"
content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<title>type a title for the search engines</title>
</head>
<body>
You can even type in something here that theyll see in case it doesnt redirect properly
</body>
</html>
