Domain PR0 but .txt file PR5???

I have a site that in the last PR update lost it's PR2 down to a PR0
but one of the mydomainname.com/filename.txt (for example)
has a PR5....there is nothing on it but sequential numbers....
Why does this happen? How does this happen?

Most importantly is it normal?
All the .txt files had a PR2 when the site was a PR2
now they are all 0's except this one that jumped 3 ranks :-/

If a bunch of numbers can get a PR5...what's the point of development??
This page has nothing under "view source" except the content, no meta tags etc...nothing!

Anyone know how/why this happened?

PageRanks are assigned to every individual web page of a website.

i've never heard of a .txt getting a pagerank, but i guess it's entirely possible. most search engines will probably treat a .txt as content anyway since it's text - the only different between a .txt and a .htm is that a .htm is "nicer" for the internet, is formatted properly, adheres to web standards, etc.

Thanks for the explanation shockie :)
I figure it's just another mistake
and I expect it'll disappear at the next
update. It was annoying to see the PR on the
site go - but then to see the .txt file at a 5?! :bah:
