Does anyone use a manager such as Namestead to manage their domains? Which one do you recommend and why?

Thanks.

I'm interested to know as well. My portfolio is getting larger and it's difficult to keep track of the different names in different registrars and resellers.

Tried that, none of the domains I added show up. Also it says "NOT YOURS" for domains in my name.

I get same error message. Please fix that problem. I use different datas for regsitration and somtimes use whois privacy but that system doesn't support this.

I know that, and this is a feature and not error. ;)

This is most likely what you need, but bear in mind it's still in beta (not an affiliate link):

www.dnzoom.com

It would be best to read up on dnzoom before you join; there is quite a lot of buzz around it now, so you should be able to judge fairly easily if it is right for your specific needs.

Hello all!

As MC pointed out, we are still in beta. However, we are really looking for feedback to make the product stronger. Please feel free to sign up and take a look around!

If you have any questions please post here or PM me and I will get back to you right away.

At Rebel.com we have a free service called DomainMerge that allows you to upload your domains being managed at other registrars and track them with our tools. We will query the whois and pull back which registrar is managing the domain, when it is due to expire and what the DNS is currently set to.

With our portfolio management system you can also sort your domains into folders and tag them with keywords.

We have many people who have set up free accounts and use us solely to track their domains free of charge.

maybe not exactly what you are looking for but worth the shot : http://www.domainportfolio.us/

maintained by a moderator here on the board.
I also use SecondVersion's portfolio manager (active here), and I've never had any problems. It's a nice little script that displays what names you've got for sale on the front end, and in the administration panel, you can manage all the domains you own and their asking prices (if they're for sale).

Hello -Raja-,

i would not call my system a dn manager, its more to organize domains.
(because you cant change domain settings)

DomainersBox.net automatically fetch expires, register and allow you to insert what you are expecting for that domain.
Some of features you asked are already there but i need some days to test them, before activating on server.

I think others are nice too (dnzoom & myrebel) but havent tried them.
Took just quick look over them in past, but they don't have functions that i needed.... and forgot about them. (to get clear head, just for my idea ;) )

Let me elaborate a bit.

>>Automatically fetch: created, expires, registrar, nameservers,

Depending on your registrar, YES - this may be supported. With most registars, it is.

Furthermore, you can change nameservers, add the domains to another parking panel, grab WHOIS info and alexa ranking -- from INSIDE of DnZoom. You don't have to visit multiple websites in order to do the functions that you would normally have to perform at the different parking panels/registrars/etc.

We utilize each and every registrars and parking panels API to the fullest.

If we have them integrated, then we make full use of their API.

In the registrar space we support Enom, Namecheap, EuroDNS, Register.com, DirectI, Resell One, and others. With more than 5 different registrars currently slated for or in for development.

Parking Panels we support are Sedo.com, NameDrive.com, and DomainSponsor. With 2 more currently in development.

>>Allow to insert: purchased for, sold

Not yet. But soon. We are already working on this.

Sorry I didn't clarify before!

Regards,

Sean

I had my dev make a screencap on this so everyone can see the capabilites as to where we are in the different implementations. This should give you a good idea of some of the companies that we work with (which is almost any which have APIs)

Thanks!
