I'm looking for an easy to use service (preferrably free) that allows you to keep track of all of your domains, their respective registrars, expiration dates, and nameservers. I've tried using domainstools.com but their domain manager tool does not allow you to input cctlds. I've resorted to an excel document for the last few years, but this is clumsy and takes too much time.

Anybody have experience with a website or software program that allows for easy domain management?

I used this soft also during a long time, but i changed back to exell as I needed some more filds (custom) for storing information. E.g. where isted for sale PPC averages, PR, backlinks etc..

I would be happy to participate with a programmer to develop one ;)

It's nice. Let's you export to excel, text, etc. The version I have from many years ago doesn't support ccTLD's but I'm sure the new one does.(It should)

So you don't get free updates when you buy the license?

The Soft controls only ....
# Registrar Name
# Name servers
# Admin, Billing and Technical email contacts
# IP address the domain points to
# Creation, Last Updated and Expiry Dates.
# Domain Status

Not very much ;(

Thats an understatment. I've registered over 2,000 domains in the past three weeks and I hate Excel.

Fabulous.com's reseller account has a management interface where you can enter all your domains that you have at all registrars. From there you can track expiration dates and they'll email you monthly with the list of names expiring.

I actually just got a Fabulous account earlier this week. RJ, does this tool work for the domains you may not have parked there and for cctlds?

It allows you to add ccTLDs yes, but I'm not sure if it can pull the correct registrar/expiration from all the registries. Give it a test and see.

Best of luck,

RJ

Oh, there's this software too,

domain tools, formaly whois.sc has one. Doesn't have as much as the others, but for a free one it works for me.

Fabulous does email you even if it's not parked there. It tells you when some of your domains are expiring, but it doesn't work for all registrars. Your best bet would be a script or even the Excel spreadsheet you're using. I'll admit, I use Excel whenever I remember to add a domain and delete it when sold or expired.
