Does anyone know of any lending institutions that will loan a company money using the domain name as collateral, assuming of course the domain has the appraisal to back up its value?

If you find a bank that will loan you money and take a domain name as collateral please let us know which bank that is so we can all make sure we do not entrust our money with them.

NO serious bank would ever take a domain for collateral, IMHO.

one thing sseem clear, they seem offer to anybody 300 us$ (to down?) . sounds a tricky biz.
Thanks for the advice
I sent out 7 testers to see what they would offer and they did offer $1,000 loan for SportsBookAction.com Keeping the names I wanted to see what they would offer.4 others range from $300 to $800 they were:
CollectorShows.com= $300
VegasOptions.com=$300
SetaBet.com=$500
TheVegasSportsBook.com=$800
TheDMV.com=$400
Wonder what the fraction/% is they are paying out?

And the 1 denied, USDonation.com on Great Domains(they accepted this and it was the first time i had submitted a name) at $10,000, but i never sent these others to GD.

They offered you $1K for that domain? I would have taken them up on that offer. Most likley though, they would have never paid up.

The only place out there (I think) is Digipawn.com. But I don't recommend them.

Also, I suggest you read this thread before trying them out.

Jeff. By posting this link, are you endorsing them? Not sure why you would. So far they seem to not be very trustoworthy.

How in the world are you reading my post, Ebook? :|
I even included capiche's prior remarks / caveat / quote!

Here is the original query:

Just wondering becasue I found it odd that you would want to post the URL. That's all. Looked like you really wanted folks to visit the site and make it easy for them to do so. Anyone could have listed the URL but no one did becuase they have a bad reputation therefore no real need to post the URL since the other thread already lists it.

NO offense, just wanted to make sure what was going on.

And that's why I was sure to include/quote capiche's comments when I did post the link/URL ... no worries. masm22 will have to use all of this information to come to a decision for what is best for him/her, personally IMHO.
Have a great domain name evening.

Gotcha, jeff. I hope masm22 will do the right thing and try ot find a real bank that will take a domain name as collateral and not use a supposed domain pawn.

masm22, like I said, if you do find a bank that will give you a loan and use a domain as collateral, please let us know the name of the bank so we can know not to entrust them with our money. LOL. good luck finding that bank.
