Domain Name Suggestions Please - Developers/Programmars Site/Forums ?

Hello,
I need some serious/strong suggestions for selection of a domain for programmars, developers.

Planning to invest large amount on this site, hence long for some suggestions on selection of domain name.

Please post your suggestions related to this domain ?
Site will be dedicated to worldwide developers, programmars discussions we will try to cover almost every popular programming language.

What domain name will you select or go for ? Kindly list down your suggestions, even if those domains are registered.

To be true, I have never came across .pro TLDs ?
I am still looking for more suggestions on a strong domain selection. Price is secondary concern.

These are expensive, but names like... Code.us -&- Dev.us ... would be perfect.

If you are looking for something cheaper, or ".com only" then I can't help you.

If you are looking for ideas/unregistered domains, then I will certainly update your thread if I find nice ones.

This is still available DevAnx.com. We all know what Dev means and Anx can mean many things like ANx—High-speed Internet access. Anyway, to me it sounds catchy and is brandable.

If money isn't a problem, go to http://www.sedo.com/search/searchresult.php4?language=us&rel=1&showcase=1 and search for any keywords you like, and find a great domain for sale. Pretty much that easy

The best names are never avaiable, that is why they are the best. But that does not mean you cannot use a GREAT one. There are so many GREAT .COMs left out there. Do not get stuck in the rut of thinking you have to pay for a premium domain. If you have a great site and your visitors see value in it, you can cal it asdkjsdfsdf987sd9f87sdfs9d.com and they will still come.

Also, IMO, if you are serious about your site, whether it is a commerce site or not, I would look into stricly .COM and .NET. .PRO and all those others are just too obscure in the civilian market.

Domain forums are not the best place to get help for choosing a domain for a serious site you wanna develop. You are better off asking your question in a developer's forum. Domain traders are always gonna tell you you have to get the BEST name and they will suggest obscure extensions. Domain traders tend to forget how the rest of the world thinks and what they know. I know nobody who has heared of .PRO or even .BIZ.

The vcast majority of durferws only know .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .GOV, and .EDU (as well as .co.COUNTRY) The rest are not popular enough with the real world.

Can you explain that because I beg to differ. If you are looking for a domain with traffic, I can sort of understnd your logic. If not, then I totally dosagree that you should not focus on .COMs and must be under 8 letters.

For a forum, your repeat visitors are gonna bookmark you anyway.

I woul dsave the money and reg a new name if I were you. Your domain, in this case, will do very little for you. it is the substance of the site that will make or break you.

I have decided for 2 domain names , shall register all the TLDs (as those are available) and reply back here in few hours.
