Domain Name(s) You Regret Selling For That Low

We all wish we could turn back the clock somehow and go back in time to re-sell a domain name for more money than you had previously sold it for.
Maybe your domain name was in auction and did not fetch that high of a price you thought it would sell for.
What domain do you regret selling for that low?

When I was hand registering domain names in 2007 I was picking up many 4L .com's, that would later be known as CHIPS. I also had 5N .coms too. All in all I had around 70 4L .com's or 5N .com's combined at one time. I sold most of them long before the big China boom, if I had kept them until 2015 I would've made 6 figures easily. Especially since the 5N .com's were without 0 or 4 and would average around $5k each in 2015.

I am sure many of us from that time have similar stories.

I had some nice bitcoin related domains in early 2010.
Not only did I let them expire, but I also sold all my bitcoin and ethereum (for a small profit) well before it took off. If I had held it I'd be a millionaire right now..

kfx.com and aku.com

Market was soft for these when I sold but warmed up soon after I sold!

My 4L domains that i sold for mid $xx back in 2007, i owned probably 100+ CVCV .com names which would now be worth mid $x,xxx to low $xx,xxx each

I also had loads of 4L Chips, and a few NLL.com and LLN.com names

All the domains would probably be worth in total now well in excess of $250k at reseller prices :(

If only we knew back then what we know now.

SearchDomain/net, sold in here for $30 :xf.cry:

I regret. it is a good domain to offer, not an auction here
this happens when I just joined here and still a new domainer

Only a year or 2 before we joined people were selling LLL .com's on Namepros for $1k-2k each.

I also remember an NN.com that sold on here for only $15,000 I think. That same NN.com would now be worth millions easily.

So don't worry, we're not the only ones.

I too was a part of the LLLL.com frenzy way back when. Not only did I let many drop due to lack of funds while in college, I also sold KKJK.com for a measly $50 for beer money. No clue what that would be worth now. Guess It's good that I held onto a handful though. If only I had the money then that I have now I would have registered and held many more......

bought AQ0/com on Sedo - flipped it very quickly, my first ever sale with hindsight (which is a wonderful thing!) should of held it for a year or 2 and seen how it panned out

but hey, life shouldn't be about regrets, learn, move on and take the knocks on the chin :xf.wink:
