Domain Name: "Forum" vs "forums"

Hello,

I am planning to acquire a domain name where I would like to develop an active forum or community. I won't specify what niche it is.

I have just one question.

I am choosing from these two domains (keyword represents my main keyword):

keywordforum.com
keywordforums.com

Which one is better? The one with "forum" or the one with "forums" in the end?

Well that's the problem... I'm not sure I can afford both of them. So I will probably be able to buy just one.

Oops, I was under the impression that you were going to hand-reg. :red:

However, if you're serious about developing an active forum, it'll be much wiser to acquire both now rather than in the future when your forum is much more successful. :imho:

Personally I prefer Forum. But I would take either one.

I just sold a FORUM / FORUMS combo set. The Forum version sold for slightly more.

Just curious, does the 3.9 billion for 'forum' include the 792m for 'forums'.

Just to let you know how it worked out.

As my main keyword is pretty premium, I was afraid this would happen.

keywordforum.com is out of my budget...

Fortunately, I will probably get keywordforums.com for a reasonable price

I've been pondering this recently, where the "forum" is taken but not "forums" but "board" and "boards" is available is it better to take "board/s"? Or would "discussKEYWORD" ever be a suitable option?

I'm presuming everyone is voting for forum over forums for SEO and type in reasons?

I'd choose *****forum.com, especially for use with a generic word like Book, Car, Boat etc

I think the plural *****forums.com could work better if the name was a brandable one and the forum had lots of different and un-related sections....like homes, health, money, travel, Fishing etc

eg: something brandable like FoxyForums.com

Boards is bad. I would skip it entirely.

Discuss imho is only usable if you need something at reg fee.
