I believe freedom is being able to do what you want, when you want as long as it does not hurt others or put others at risk of being hurt. Freedom is also being able to access information that is NOT controlled by a government or agency. Freedom is the right to access the TRUTH without censorship.
Most of the world is Free. There are some countries like North Korea and China that have strict control over the Internet and communications. These countries want to regulate and control the information and hide the real truth.
Freedom is not CHEAP.
Many have died so we can live Free, but most of us really don’t take the time to appreciate what we have. Many servicemen did NOT die so you could look at porn and gamble were it is legal, They died so nobody would take away the right to look at porn and gamble were it is legal. They died so countries like North Korea would not rule over us and censor the real truth.
I gave most of my adult life to the US Armed Services. I put my life on the line to fight for your Freedom. Now, I am disabled because I fought for your freedoms and there is not a day that goes by that I am not reminded of it. I live in pain and will live in pain for the rest of my life. It’s a terrible thing to live in pain. I must take hard narcotics that the Veterans Administration (VA) gives me in order to survive. What is Ironic is that I spend many fight hours combating drug interdiction in Central America, and now I am addicted to what I fought against.
It’s virtually impossible to obtain a job while living on opiate class 2 narcotics.
In 2003, the VA wanted to send me to school for web programming so I could work rather than collect disability. I could live with that. That is how I got into this domain business.
I worked very hard in school and it was a big financial struggle while living on a very limited income and going to school in 2003 - 2004. In July 2005, when my parking and “google adsense” revenue reached $10,000 per month the VA decided my education was complete; but I still continued taking classes on my own. I had to overcome tough obstacles to continue my education and get to where I am now, and by no means was it easy.
But the main reason for this post is not about me. The main reason for this post is to point out some very important aspects and instances of Name Media / Buy Domains initiative to restrict access to your freedoms buy removing the gambling and adult names.
History dictates that the Conservatives do NOT want change, and the liberals want change or reform. However, the internet changed faster than it could be stopped. Laws could not keep up with dynamics of the internet’s growth. Now, the Conservatives are the ones who want the change (go back to they way there were). People…. It’s not happening. You just can’t give freedom and take them away without suffering consequences. I am sure the past election demonstrates that issue directly as a result of the UIGEA. I must also point out the trends of our society. Compare prime time TV today (blood, guts, verbage) to 30 years ago. The bottom line is the trends of communications are getting more and more liberal and I do not see this trend changing.
This demonstrates now how the Conservatives want change (to remove all the porn and gambling). It’s much harder to change something when it has such a strong influence and been socially accepted. That is why I stated that “it’s not happening”.
As a person, corporation, and government … you either support/move towards freedom or away from it. If Afternic / Name Media is successful in discriminating against freedoms that so many people have died for, then I feel it is a slap in the face. It is a slap in the face to all those who have died and or become disabled to fight for your freedoms.
Buy supporting Afternic/ Name Media, you are slapping me and others who made great sacrifices for freedom in the face. I cannot allow the restrictions of freedom to continue. I cannot allow other companies to make the same move and be successful and I urge you to do the same.

If somebody wants to play poker online, which is the becoming an American favorite, then they should have the right. There is no in between on this issue
