I have been hearing a lot lately about people flipping domain names and am wondering if there is really any money in doing this for a person who does not have a lot of money to stockpile names. Also is there a method to find names that may be valuable in the future?

I started less than a year ago when I bought a domain for $8 and sold it on ebay for 2x what I paid for it...Not a big profit but enough to buy 2 more domains and sell them for more profits...So, with my spare time and $4,000+ in sales I'd say that if you have $8 bucks and a good eye for domains that sell or that people would be interested in, you can have some good success. I realize 4 g's isn't a lot for less then a year of work, but I did it in my spare time and only put in $8 of my own money. Pretty good for a lazy college kid :)! Take a look at some of the available domain lists right here on namepros, as I've found Some $100+ domains there. Also, have a look at GoDrops.com and see what it's all about. Some great domains available there. Hope this helps!

I agree, if you never exceed your available recreational and disposal income for the domain drop and capture investment the rewards can be great. Just don't bet the farm (or the tractor) on recouping every domain for every value you think you ought to get.
