So I have had the $18.95 backordering thing on Godaddy for a little bit but ot used it as I really don't know how to fully utilize it.

Everytime I find a name I like on pool.com for example it doesn't let me backorder it because someone else prolly has, and other times I find a name I like it's wrong and it isn't expiring at all.

I need help with this, tips on names to go for etc from people in the know as I am a complete newbie at this sorta thing.

Cheers

I would like some advice on this too. I have just started using the godaddy back order system also.

Hi! I do not care for Godaddy backordering service---They have very little success---"You pay for what you get" Snapnames and Pool and Enom "I like"

I suggest clubdro over godaddy's drop service. Godaddy's drop services only beat the hand registers

You'll discover that Go Daddy's backordering system doesn't have a whole lot of success or much of a chance to grab real popular names. It's good for some names that aren't that great, however if it has traffic then it's a safe bet it'll be snatched by one of the larger companies such as Pool, SnapNames, etc...

I'd try using SnapNames, Pool, and eNom's Club Drop instead of Go Daddy's backorders. If there's more than one snap on a particular name then it will go into a private auction among everyone who has a snap on that name. The minimum for a domain is $60 that you can pay, however if you don't end up getting the name then you pay nothing. However, with Go Daddy's backorders you pay no matter if you get the name of not. But you do have multiple chances at grabbing a name.

I wish you the best of luck and if you have anymore questions, then just post them. :)

Happy Holidays! *<|

You'll likely have more success and have to pay more at Pool, Namewinner, or Enom. But you'll have to pay more.

not really. Enom clubdrop isn't that that much more expensive than godaddy if the name isn't that popular.

Thnx, but I have this credit on Godaddy so might as well use it, I obviously won't go for the very popular names, but just wanna use it so need tips and hints etc

Surprisingly, I've won three out of three godaddy .us backorders this month. I also had two of them backordered at pool which lost in this case. (note: enom, snapnames, and namewinner don't catch .us domains yet)

I've never had much luck with godaddy, but at least now, they seem to do well at .us domains, particluarly when priced $18.95 to pool's $60+.

The domains were:

angelas.us
divewatches.us
nitroxdiving.us

All domains are taken in all major TLD's.

I don't recommend GD for most catches, but I've seen some success there with .info, .biz, and .us for some reason.
