Hi everyone! My name is Rich and I am a recovered domainaholic.

2003 was the year I first poked my head in to discover the domain industry, after not knowing exactly what to do with my first domain name when my business venture circumstantially veered off course with that idea with the start of a new found religion, the courtship of my wife and the birth of our first daughter.

That was the year when I discovered domain parking and the potential of P.P.C. After that I was hooked on domains and just had to get my feet wet a little bit....o.k. a lot! Since 2003 I have enjoyed success and failure.... but more success thankfully. I know how hard it is to get a foothold in this business believe me. At one time I had a portfolio of over 1200 domains and a serious addiction. Today I have less than half of those but much, much more knowledge.

I want to share a link to a cover story article from 2003 that I found particularly interesting. This is a very well written article by R. Jackson of DN Journal about the President of BuyDomains, Mr Mann and his road from childhood to early day success at BD. Very interesting read.

So this article has some sentimental value for me having been doing this for a good many years now and having read this article when I was just a newbie domainer.

I also thought it would be good to start a thread for all domainers, new and old(ish), to post links to their favorite archives and news articles from the past couple decades about the industry and happenings. I am hard pressed to find any one industry that does more research than this one..... so I know the desire and need to share articles we run across on a daily basis doing this sort of gig.

The unfortunate thing about domaining is that we don't get a chance to look way back and see the rich history of domaining unless it's related to more recent events and stories. Maybe this will change that!

Anyways...enough rambling. :D One of my favorites...Enjoy! http://dnjournal.com/columns/coverstory8.htm
