I'm trying to sell paypedal.com at auction at godaddy. The minimum bid is $125. I wonder if this will sell in 7 days? I have no experience with godaddy auctions. I bought the domain for $1.17 recently at godaddy...They gave it a suggested premium listing price of $400 before I tried to put it up for auction. I couldn't tell if there was even any traffic on their premium listing page is why I put it up for auction. Thanks for any help y'all. :hi:

$1.17 is about right for the value of this name.

Never ever use any automated tools for domain apprasials.

This includes all the big dogs like Godaddy and Sedo.

It will just create false hopes, and an empty wallet.

I did a search of this domain on StatsCrop.com it gave it a 75.2% overall SEO rating (3 out of 5 stars). Does that give it anymore value? Not sure what StatsCrop is exactly and if anyone uses this website...Also, are newly created/registered domains without value? Where is the incentive to be creative these days if everyone wants what's already been?

I don't see a relation between the 2 words... besides the obvious, both start with "P"... doesn't make much sense to me.

Good luck

Without wishing to be condescending, you have to ask yourself this: If GoDaddy really believed that the domain was a viable listing at $400 per their appraisal service, why on earth would they sell it to you for $1.17?

To answer your second question, it's not that there's no room to be creative -- it's that domain names are not a matter of creativity. Relatively few brands are built based on what domains can be found available for registration; rather, most are built on much stronger principles than that, and the domain comes second. Just think, Twitter started out as twttr.com and Facebook as TheFacebook.com ... the brands and the creativity that went into building them came before bothering with the perfect domain names.
