Do people really think that some end user suddenly stumbled on sedo, saw the name, had their eureka moment and decided they had to have it...

And that's why it tumbled from 750k to 300k.

That's the problem with auctions. Its not likely an end user will happen to see it and bid. Certainly not for high prices unless they have been in the market for a certain type of domain. Even in a good realestate market, if someone auctions off their home, whats the chances of getting a good offer in a limited time? Businesses take time to sell. Domains are a business. Domains in auctions are more likely to be domaines, traders and flippers.

Who decides that Euro 500,000 or whatever is not a fair price - end user or not?
You? Five "respected" domainers...?
Sorry, some domains will NEVER see a legit end user at the rquired price even though it gives many a domainer a hard-on b/c it's one word.
Dollar, com has high demand to end users, dollars, com does not.
Such names will only ever do the hot potato from domainer2domainer.

Or maybe some "developer" proverbial "dumb money" will spend a fortune on it, have some half-assed development on it only to see their plans & dreams wither away shortly after...just like smoking, com and countless others that will only ever grace F_ckedDomain.com

Anyway the "auction" is a friggin joke...busted bids among the shill bids.
Doesn't exactly instill confidence in the integrity of the auction for any of the legit bidder(s)
