Don't get me wrong... I like the domain, but this one would be hard to develop. How many times have you just typed "Dollars" into a search engine or into your browser? I couldn't say I ever have. It would need to be Branded, which you can do with any domain really. Now granted "any domain" can't be Dollars, but I think you get my point.

A lot better domains out there for a Million Bucks that already have Instant Branding and natural traffic!

I agree 100%, then end user must have something very specific in mind and feels this is the only name that will do, either that or he/she has little to no understanding of domain name values.

At first I thought it must be proxy bidding, where "Sedo automatically bids on your behalf up to your maximum bid". If Bidder 10 bid 500,000 EUR, then someone tried to bid a higher, Sedo automatically rebids the same amount on Bidder 10's behalf as long as it hasn't reached his maximum bid.

But I don't understand the timestamps, unless Bidder 10 wasn't simply happy to outbid Bidder 6 and wanted to meet the reserve.

It could be a site for trading dollars or foriegn currency exchange.

It can also be for a new internet payment system, something like paypal.

These type of businesses can make millions per month.

750,000 USD.

Thanks for pointing that out, therefore in my previous post Bidder 10 was well above the reserve, not trying to reach it.

As of this writing, the highest bid is 300,000 euros. The reserve has not been met.

Yes, previous days I saw Euro $ 750000 reserve met . I think the bidder retracted the bid.

Why price change? The dollars currency down in the world? I think not perfect timing sold dollars.com at this time.

Whoa, what the hell happened there?

Looks like Sedo might finally be verifying bidders and their funds. I think that they should implement a verified bidder system for high value domains.

Weird, they rolled it back a lot. Bet Rick feels a lot better now.

All I can say is if this domain actually does sell for close to $1M then someone got ripped off. It is a great domain, but with that much money to spend you can do better.

Any bidding - irrespective of price. :gl:

Anyone with a brain knows this ain't worth $1M, certainly not for someone without a plan ie. another domainer.
And don't come out with the woulda coulda shoulda as to what the site could be with fantasy revenue projections...

He would do well to get what he paid Rick L back in July 2007

Do people really think that some end user suddenly stumbled on sedo, saw the name, had their eureka moment and decided they had to have it...

And it appears the seller is putting pretty much everything for sale - just wants out.

I would have thought there would be huge demand for sellers trying to find people that actually want to buy the US Currency. I could even see Bernanke trying to acquire it for the Fed!
