Does anybody have any experience in contacting or dealing with US government/state agencies regarding domain names?

I own a LLLL.com (xxXX.com)regged in 2001, and the government/state agency in question owns xxXXxx.com, regged in 2006(tourist board and public transport website)

Is it worth contacting them about buying the domain name?
