As the topic says, what is the current value of L-L.us and do you know of any significant sales? :)

not really seen any sales, but the sheer rarity of it must make it worth something, probably not as much as the sellers are holding out for tho

i would guesstimate at about mid $xx at present

Ive got m-8.us, i think its a good one so the mixes can have value aswell

Limited value in these domains IMO. Hyphened names are usually worth less and one hyphen in such a short domain (3 letters) does not look really great. I would rather go for a true LLL domain. For branding it is also better without hyphen (so you do not have to pronounce it in a commercial for instance). But I understand some companies only use 2 letters as acronym so it may be the best option to them. IMO value would be in the low $$ range.

I wonder if a hyphen is a good idea with .mobi for another reason. I don't even know how to get the hyphen on my phone :(

I thought about that when I got 10-4.mobi. I liked the name, it got me thinking.

Yes I am asking in general.

Since it is not possible to register two letter .us domains was my thought that US companies with two letter initials might be interested in the hyphened version instead. For example did I notice that Harley Davidson owns h-d.us

For a small company seems a hyphened two letter .us to be a much more realistic purchase in terms of price compared to a two letter .com and the specific two letter .com would of cause only be an option if it actually is for sale and not used by another company.

What is your opinion about l-l.us domains for long term investments?

l-l (dot) anything is rare.
I see mid xx now, possibly low xxx when .us becomes more prominent.
Like I asked earlier, the letters are important.
harley davidson probably paid big $$$ for H-D.us
I dont think they would have coughed up that much coin for M-C.us (motorcycle)
I like "O-O.us" it looks like a motorcycle, sort of.

In my opinion, L-L.us domains are extremely undervalued at the moment. I'd seriously consider buying any L-L.us that is under $100.

fonz i do admire the fact that you put your money where your mouth is

yes try and find a l-l.us for less than $100 and you will have your work cut out

.us lll, nnn or l/n whatever with a hyphen in general are ridiculously hard to find at a decent price at the minute
