i was just curious to know that if the Godaddy really transfers the domain to the winning or highest bidder after the bidder made his full payment?

Yes, but it can take several days...especially if the name was at another registrar.

I don't really think so sir, because two weeks ago i won a domain in the auction, paid for it but didn't get the domain into my account as if the owner had a second thought of not selling it or other other kind of stuffs whatever i don't know. That is the other thing that i got refund but what if i really really need that particular domain?

If you are saying you got a refund it means the previous owner clawed it back...it has happened to me twice in as many weeks. There are many, many extensions and many words/phrases that may describe what you are looking for in a domain. Go to the 'domain wanted' section of this site and ask for names that are relative to what you are looking for...you may be surprised at how many names and at what reasonable prices come your way.

Was it a pre-release? Doesn't that mean that the owner still has the option to renew?

It really depends on if the domain was an expired auction or another domainer's "premium" domain on auction.

Either way the transfer isn't immediate .. but what happens and when after your payment varies depending on the type or domain. If it was an expired domain then there's a small chance the old owner renewed it.

Exactly my point, if you want to renew or keep your domain with you then don't list it in any auction , why wasting time of buyers.....its really pissed off .

Totally agree with you, and the worst part is that Godaddy do nothing with these freaking sellers as if they don't care.

If it's an expired domain then the old owner does not list them for auction.

GoDaddy has agreements with other registrars so that when the all the registrars domains expire, they go to GoDaddy auctions to see if someone will buy them (GoDaddy and the old registrar share the profits).

GoDaddy and a few registrars have terms saying that you can't renew your domain after 30 days, so since Expired Domains go to auction on day 35, if it was a domain registered at GoDaddy, then it will 99.99% go to your account on about day 41-42. But if the domain was registered at a registrar that allows registrants until day 36 to 42 to renew, then if the person renews, the transaction does not go through.

Most of the people who renew likely never had a clue their domain was ever up for auction .. particularly if they were non-domainers.
