Does Developing really increase the money you have after the same time?

Hello,

Im asking myself whats the point with developing. When I would think of buying a domain and someone would have put a strange blog on it or something similar and thinks I would pay now more to him why should I? I mean it does cost more and that such a blog is bringing in money through ads isnt said.

So my question is... everybody is saying developing increases the value but isnt it less sellable after that? What persons buy a domain with a blog on it? Maybe only with some ads on it?

So Im thinking about the worth of developing a domain.

Whats the matter with it? Selling at a higher price thats clear but what about time? Does it take more time to sell a projekt than a domain only? If so it maybe would be more effective to sell 2 domains at the same time.

Can someone say something about?

Greetings!
Sebastian

Welcome to NamePros ;)

Developing has its own place in the sun. Yes its tougher to sell a developed site as against a domain, but you would get a higher roi depending on the domain and development and most importantly revenue the site generates.

Basically small scale development is almost mandatory for domains with no type in traffic. Paying $8 renewal is not tough... but start multiplying by 100 or 1000 or 10,000 and you see the need to at least ensure recovery of reg fees by every domain you own, either in terms of parking revenue or via a mini site or via full fledged development.

Thanks for welcome... :)

So you speak of the Revenue a site generates. Thats a task I didnt do till now because it looked to me as a lot of work. But im thinking about.

So it seems to me that developing has the following points:
Pro:
* Higher Sellingprice
* It can give you money in the time you hold it and search buyer
Cons:
* Harder to sell. So it takes more time.

Only Domain
Pro:
* can be sold faster
Cons:
* Lower Price
* Gives you nearly no money or a little if it has typeins the time you hold it

Hm... You gave me a good point... The problem is until now I didnt really get to work other things than arbitrage. EPN-Shops didnt worked for me till now. But I have a idea of building natural looking and growing automated websites with for google unique content... Such things are trend at this time so I found some ideas for it...
But its work...

Have to think over that all...

By the way. What kind of minisite do you build if you do?

Greetings!

Also depends on ones developmental skills. The better of a developer you are the more its worth doing

Lets say you have 30 names, its better in my opinion to build 1 nice site from the 30 then 30 "blogs"

But isnt it hard enough to get one site into the serps where it gets a lot of traffic? I know people that do this and its a lot of work... And there are others that seems to know the tricks. Finding the right keywords and getting income of 20USD per day from one EPN-Shop-Site... Setting-Up-Time of 2 hours maybe...

So I know I should learn more about seo but the load of work often lets me hardly begin with...

The best thing would be an optimum between time per site and revenue. Because I think its hard and timeconsuming to build one really good site I know (because I have seen it) it can be better to have 100 sites in the same time that makes more money together than the one in the same time.

So that all makes me thinking...

How can a developed site be harder to sell then a non developed domain name.

The developed site is still on that domain name and if someone is seriously interested in domain name alone then he can just delete the files from the server and he will get the domain.

If the Seller is going down with the price to that level the domain-only would be sold there wouldnt be a disadvantage. But if someone does a lot of work for projecting a site he normally hopes and wants more money. Otherwise he wouldnt have done the work.
For that reason and because I think most projecting isnt that good that a potential buyer would pay a higher price for it I think its a con for a developed site.
But like I said. If not awaiting more money for that there shouldnt be a disadvantage...
