Does anyone speak Chinese or know what Quani means?

Hello all,

OK so I've been trying to find out if my new one word DN Quani.com means anything.

I've found alot of different things but in more than one place I found that it means -------Quani: pronounced Kwon'ee. Chinese for beast with sharp mind and great body.

Is this Chinese definition correct??

Hello GreenGambler , I am soory that Quani.com means nothing in Chinese. The pronunciation "Kwon'ee" is also not correct. In fact, you can not find a equal pronunciation from Mandarin Chinese for "Quani".

I am not sure that if there any special meaning for "Quani" in Cantonese or not. Hope somebody knows Cantonese could help you more.

I speak Cantonese and know Putonghua (Mandarin). I would say I have no idea what "Quani" is. At least it's not a common word.

Well if you place "Qua" with the 4th tone and "Ni" with the 3rd tone, it can be "Blame you."

If it means anything at all, "ni" means "you." As for whether "qua" is what I think it is, like I said it all depends on the tone and the only tone that makes sense at this point (to me) is the 4th one.

Well maybe this is a good thing then.

A pronouncable, short, easy to remember, brandable DN that has no current meaning.

I guess whoever eventually buys and developes the DN can decide what it means. I think it is strong enough to be solid, up and coming, word.

Maybe you mention the Chines word "Kua Ni" which menas "Praise You", but "Qua" is not "Kua" in Chinese Pronunciation :imho:

I don't know, I think there may be more than a few sort of unique things that it means to cetain people, otherwise I wouldn't find stuff.

Kali is a well-known Indian Goddess, more so than Quani. Here is an interesting book:

Yes, thanks for the link Lilipeng24, I've added some rep for ya. Quani is the brand of shoe they are selling. If you look closely you can see the word quani on the sole of one of the shoes. I guess I can try to sell it to them if I can find out how to even contact them, looks like I have some work to do.
