Does any One Place Stand Above the Rest 4 Purchasing LLL.Com Names? 3 letters, no digits or hyphens.

I have no idea, but have purchased some names " no LLL.com yet" at Sedo, would they be the best?

Be delighted to give reps to any who can really help with this.

Dave Crutcher.

no point putting bids in on sedo as the owners will more than likely send to auction

look them up on whois and contact directly

first thing i would do is put a wanted ad up for LLL.coms tho, might get lucky with someone that needs to sell fast

Actually, At Sedo auction, on occasion you can find a steal. Atleast, earlier this year you could have. As of right now - I think you'll be hard pressed to find an LLL.com for less than 5-6k -the truth is, most people are happy holding onto their LLL.com's through next year as they are seeing steep value gains.

Justin

- Additional Note -

Even 3Character.com/Guide believes LLL.com's have gained $400 in resale over the last couple months.

I'm pretty sure there was a LLL.com listed as sold on Sedo within the last two weeks for $4,000 - I can't remember what it was though.

Do you know what it was Justin ?

It appears that VEY.com sold for $4,000 - which would be an exceptionally low price, and the buyer probably got the Steal of the month.

I think it was vey.com for $4.000 approx 3 weeks ago

jhw.com was sold ridicolously cheap ($2.200) at Afternic in april
qdz.com went for $4.000 at Sedo just a week earlier
I believe Sedo had a handful of $4.xxx sales in Q1

Those are the lowest and cheapest LLL.COM sales on the big marketplaces this year.

Yeah, I think that was the one - it's the cheapest LLL.com I have seen for a while :hehe:

If I had been paying attention to that, I would have definetly been in that auction. That was a mistake on my part.

Rhy.com

I was unclear, "newb dumbness" exactly how Sedo worked. For instance I offered either $5,000 or $5,500 for Rhy.com and it must have went into auction in which it was sold for.....I think $6,200. I would have paid $6,500 for that one. But would have rather of paid the $4k for Vey.com you were talking about.

Hello All,

It might be worth noting that many of the lower LLL.com sales at Sedo/Afternic were not ones that went to Sedo/Afternic auction. They were bought the traditional way, by making an offer via Sedo/Afternic to the owner and a purchase was made via just two party negotiations.

This may be a way to get lucky and buy one cheap - The method is to lowball offer via Sedo/Afternic and see if negotiations can meet at a bargain price, and then somehow also not have the seller send the domain to auction.

Related to this, I own a few LLL.com domains and I get email and sedo offers quite often. There are several parties trying to buy them via quick "lower than market/wholesale" offers so that they can then sell for a quick flip (or perhaps just buy low to hold). I've also had a few recent portfolio purchase offers for my LLL domains by VC's, which are intriguing to get, though I'm happy to hold right now.

It's not a secret that LLL.com domains are incredible performers. They've never had a month, since I've tracked them, that they've not increased in value in the 5 years I've been maintaining data. As a matter of fact, the increases in the last few months have been pushing 8-10% wholesale price growth per month.

DNPresident, I wish you good fortune in your search for an LLL.com domain. They're great investments and leave open also great possibilities for end-user sales and for development.
