Yesterday I learned that I cannot transfer a domain registered at GoDaddy to another registrar for 60 days.
Does this prevent me from listing newly regisred domains on Sedo and Afternic for sale? I’m very confused about this.
Thanks.

The 60 day Rule only applies to transferring the domain out of Godaddy to another registrar.

But you can list a domain for sale 1 minute after you reg it. The only difference is, upon newly registered domains, they have to stay at that Registrar...that buyer would have to have a Godaddy account so you could push it from your account to theirs immediately.

Good Luck,
Vito

P.S. - I just noticed this is your first post here at NamePros.
Welcome Mikell :)

And, frankly, if you push the GD folks they'll let you transfer.

I've found "free push" means more to most folks than "can transfer".

Moniker transfer issue

That clears it up for me. Thanks, guys.

I have portfolio of 600+ domains I/m gong to start listing at Sedo, Afternic and Snapnames/Moniker(NameMedia). The latter venue is a problem since to list names for sale at Snapnames they must first be transferred to Moniker thus requiring a 60-day wait.

GoDaddy has an ugly $19.99 renewal fee on .US domains, so I have learned to check the expiration date very carefully before buying one which is registered there.
