I got an interesting email today from the Realtors Association...

"DocuSign confirmed on Tuesday that a malicious third party had gained temporary access to a separate, non-core system to steal possibly more than 100 million email addresses. Fortunately, DocuSign’s core eSignature service, envelopes and customer documents remain secure."

I am very reluctant to send a photocopy of my passport to anybody
as identity theft is no fiction and no joke

If you have to, add a background watermark, clear out a few items like ID number etc
And send it by snail mail. But I hope they keep it in a file cabinet and won't scan it upon receipt.
