I used to be a huge fan of DeletedDomains.com ... that was until they started charging people to use their service.

It used to be 100% free.

Does anyone still use it? Does it work for you?

When it was free, I picked up some great names.

Billy, they started charging about four years ago.... did they not? That is old news.

Also, I stopped using them in about 2003 b/c other tools were available that were better for free.

Great question ... I haven't been to the site in years, IMHO.

For instance, which would be a better :$: value IYHO's ... paying for DeletedDomains, or paying for DomainsBot (or are the FREE services - which ones - just as good, if not better)? :gl: :talk:

Thanks for the discussion, and any "success stories" if applicable. :$:

I used to use this service back in the day until they started charging. I either avoid deleted domains or use a free alternative (and sometimes better) service when necessary, like Jeff said. :gl:

The droplists are readily available from several sources for free.

whose free droplists do you recommend? Why be so esoteric over free resources, out with it :)

You can find drop lists for download at snapnames or pool for example. Additionally snapnames features prerelease names from their partner registrars. Then you can script around the lists and extract keywords of interest etc.

Besides the lists of dropping domains, does DeletedDomains.com provide any additional information to justify a subscription ?
