DeletedDomains.com sucks as of late...

I used to love deleteddomains.com and used it often when it was free, like most people did and while there were other free lists, I found it to be the most compatible with the way I like to search. So I bellied up and paid them for a year membership ($100). Since I paid, their service is not anywhere near what it used to be. For the last month or so, their system has been really bad. Today's deletions for example might show 100 of the 17,000 that dropped. Tomorrow's deletions show 200 or so. The search was the only saving grace and even that doesn't work half the time. I figured when they went pay, they'd be better at what they did, not worse. I complained to get some recoup on my investment, but they said there is no refunds which is in their TOS. I also noticed in their TOS that it does not say anything about the service that they should provide and promised for that money. So I am really miffed about the whole thing...

I think you just saved me $100 or so, I was thinking about joining. :gl:

Sorry to hear, but glad you took time to tell us.

THANKS,
Mike

P.S. Did you get "any" good catches at all?

Not really. Just found a couple of older deleted names that were good for some business I was doing...Actually a correction to the above. Today's Tomorrow deletions showed 2000 out of the 22,000 that are dropping tomorrow. Now some of that may be because deleteddomains seems to only handle the .com, .net, .org, .info but certainly more than 10% of the drop list are those extensions.

wehavethem.com has free drop lists and they have the complete lists, not a scattering like deleteddomains.com. Takes longer to go through, but there are some real gems in there.

I can't get my $100 back, but I can warn people how not to get ripped off...

BTW, just for the record. I gave them a month to get all this fixed before I came on here. I didn't just right away assume they were bad. Having worked in the industry, I understand that glitches happen and I'm fairly tolerant of that, but I got a bit tired of the excuse their programmers are working on it.

100.00 for a membership? seems very expensive. I though these companies get the deleted information for free?
