I don't do the deletes... why not?

I just feel there are toooo many people looking at these lists... why not use some creativity and analytical foresight to reg new names that others haven't yet thought of? Afterall, if someone is letting the name expire, chances are it hasn't performed very well for them.

At the same time, the one in a thousand gems about to expire will garner so much attention from domainers that the price will be inexorbantly high.

I can't deal with this... I'm new to domaining but I'm looking forward to carving my niche and it won't be by regging deletes.

BUT... to each their own... .GOODLUCK!

I don't typically backorder. I've done it one time with GD and I got the name. However, I have done it before and will probably do it again in the future. I don't really ever plan on bidding on names; for the best names out there, there's too much money for me and it's not worth it in terms of reselling.

Guilty as charged. :(

Only once though, the domain expires in 3 weeks and it's not even for me, it's for my friend. :)

Relative to TDNam, AfterNIC, Sedo, the auction markets for expired domains are generally overpriced.

In the heat of bidding and auction, there are bound to be those who become hot-headed and overbid.

Better bargains are usually available to those who do homework on the above-mentioned domain-for-park/sale webs, or by creatively registering good domains.

I don't take part in dropped name autions as much as I used to, but I usually pick up a couple every month like this. I've used Enom, Snap, Pool, GoDaddy and have had domains through all of them.

The one thing to make sure is NOT to get caught up in the bidding, before the auction even starts make sure you have written down ( I use a post it note on the monitor ) how much the domain is worth to you .... And under no circumstances go above that.

All the best.

I often backorder at Snapnames - They just have sooooo many sexy names dropping :yell:

Unfortunately many/most of these names go well beyond my range but you just never know when you get lucky and end up with just a few bidders :)

I'v seen some very sweet names go for a bargain !

I never have, it costs alot. However if I ever find a premium DN that I really really want and I see that it is due to expire then I might give it a go.
