I have a few domains hosted with hostgator.com, and as soon as I put another one on, whois.sc comes a calling for a quick look, which I find alittle annoying. This never used to happen with my hold hoster (as far as I'm aware, it's possible, but unlikely, I didn't notice). So the question is, does hostgator.com have some deal going with whois.sc to let them know about newly hosted domains?
