You should probably work around integrating your ads to give you a maximum CTR if you haven't done so. Just by doing that can help you earn a ton more than you usually had earned before. Also, try not using only one ad agency. Try a couple of them. :)

using Adsense/YPN for the main page and adbrite or others on proxified pages, you can earn some money but I think proxy sites are selling over price sometimes, these days.

I get about 1000 impressions on my index page per day, and make $10-20 with AdSense.
I use Adversal on the proxified pages, and make like $30-70 per month.

I don't know why I don't get good offers on it, but oh well.

Well proxy sites used to make a lot of money but now they appear to be "dying off".

What I mean by this is that the craze for Proxies isn't as big as it was say a month ago, but yeah, they still make more money than some other site ideas.

For promotion, I would recommend submitting Proxies to as many directories and toplists as possible.

Many turn to proxy.org as their portal so to speak. You might want to try submitting proxy sites there.

About proxy.org advertisements: "When a user chooses "random proxy", the default option on the proxy list, Bolded Listings are 5 times more likely to be chosen, Tier Two Listings are 10 times more likely to be chosen, and Premium Placements in the top ten are 15 times more likely to be chosen over other proxies."

i think that i get good revenue from the proxy site i have,
compared to the time i invested an di only use google adsense,

i made a lil network with free file hosting website, myspace resource website, proxy website and top proxy list website so i get visitors and they visit my other pages as well.
proxy dot org is the best place to submit, if u dedicate about 20 hrs u get ur money back and more.

I also twisted the default template and now i try to add Adversal into my proxified webpages....

good luck for u!
;)

Are you using phproxy? If so, and you get ads in your proxified pages working correctly, please share how you did it. Every time I try to do this I end up with phproxy errors like crazy.

its very easy,

just open index.php(first take a back up of this file) and find
PHP:
$_url_form
in line 1143(more or less)
there ad ur code just after

PHP:
. $_script_base . '">main page</a>]'
                        . '<br />

save the file and upload it again

i use adversal and i have no problems....
i hope i helped

Demand definitely isn't dying off, as long as their are filters there will be demand. More and more proxies are being started, that is the reason that it is harder to break into the market. Demand is definitely the same if not higher, though.

I agree with David. The reason I started topsites is because there are so many of them I see an opening to make a large one in that area. I see many people with networks of 20-30 proxies and one guy with 95. Get good hosting and submit to topsites and proxy.org and then get some good loyal members from MySpace and the search engines should do their thing from there. Alot of people forget to submit to directories and good old link exchanges that I have been doing. If anyone needs a topsite to submit to or exchange I am always game. I am still learning a lot about this area though and just experimenting.

Hello. I wonder how proxy sites earn money. Do they offer paid proxy? I'm newbi on this stage, burt it is quite interesting for me.

Unless you could use foregin post requests I don't think that people would want to pay for a proxy, the money is made becuase the owners get paid when people click on the adverts and people pay to have a link / banner to their site.

The reason they are starting to die down again is one becuase schools are starting to block the word proxy and the other becuase now everyone is finding they can make money out of one, they all want one thus there being far too many.
