Greetings,
I would like to get opinions based on thoughts or previous experience on setting up little microsites that showcases all the domains you have within one niche. For example, you might have 30 names around Carpet Cleaning, and you could forward them all onto carpetcleaningdomains.com where all your names are listed.
On one hand, I've always thought it a little tacky and felt it devalues the names in some way, but on further introspection I'm not really sure what drove me to this conclusion, or if it has any basis whatsoever.
What is your experience with this approach and has it anyone had any success with these types of microsites? I'm wondering if a customer might arrive looking for domain A and end up buying domain B, or perhaps both, or if you're able to create extra confidence in the buyer by building a little bit of a brand around your site.
