Hi everyone,

I’ve been exploring the domain market and I currently have a collection of location-based real estate domains (e.g., ShanghaiEstates.com, ParisMansions.com, etc.). I’m curious to know your thoughts on whether these types of domains hold value for domain investors today.

Are real estate-related domains still in demand, or do investors tend to avoid them? I’d love to hear about your experiences and insights into how these types of domains compare to others in terms of resale potential.

I own and have sold many.

I sold two in the last 10 days for 15k and 3k.

I mainly deal with US GEO and specific endings.

By the way Some of my domains include:

ShanghaiEstates.com - $250

MonacoRetreats.com - $250

ParisMansions.com - $250

Am I doing anything wrong with this ?

US GEO.

Popular endings like homes or realestate.

Hold them for years.

There is really no magic formula.

Nice!

What was the hold time?
I am not sure exactly, but the $15K one was probably about 10 years. $69 purchase.
The $3K one probably like 7 years. $50 purchase.

The $15K one had other offers before. The $3K did not, but there were some potential end users.

I reinvested about $1500 of that into (2) good real estate related domains in the last couple weeks.

There is a lot of nuance to the market. You really have to know what you are doing.

Hi, WelcomeToMyDomain.
The location-based real estate domains you own have high value in the domain name investment field. These domains are not only industry-relevant, but also have clear geographical locations, marketing potential, and scarcity. At the same time, with the continuous development of the real estate market and the acceleration of digital transformation, the market demand and potential of these domains will continue to increase.

Nice good info on the US GEO @bmugford. I have a bunch of brandable domains related to home or house with 2 english words, but no real interest yet. Been holding around 3 years.
