I think Epik is building the best ever Domain Lander in the history of domaining, and it really needs to be talked about extensively. That's why I am creating this discussion thread. A lot of thought process really goes into the project. And I can see (for the first time) a landing page that is built from the stand point of domainers rather than for just the marketplace itself.

Everything you have ever dreamt of getting or seeing in a professional landing page can be found in the new Epik marketplace landing page design.

Some of my Favorites Features:

1. The ability to optimize your "domain for sale" landing page to actually rank on Google, displaying your sales pitch/domain description. I just did that with few of my generic domain names such as ASAP.TV, targeting certain keywords, and they are showing pretty well on Google. That's a huge plus in my marketing effort.

2. Being able to change background image is another huge one for me. If you are good with pictures and images, you will surely find this very useful. I did that with Nagasaki.org and the result was truly amazing, showing the city of Nagasaki right at the background.

There are too many positive features and I don't want to mention all of them, all alone :xf.grin::xf.grin:

So I am leaving you guys to share and discuss what you loves most or dislike about the new Epik marketplace and the landing pages.

The only negative for me is the checkout process. There are too many terms and conditions buttons to tick before checking out. It will be nice if they can streamline those into one beautiful big button :xf.cool:

They also need to place the checkout button directly under the payment options. Right now it is awkwardly place somewhere below at the sidebar, which I don't find cool at all.

Sales experience is also welcomed in this discussion. I haven't had any sells so far at Epik because I started using the marketplace just recently, but the future is looking so bright.

I can't quite make sense of this.

There do seem to be some issues with those comparisons, since that's not even what Epik sell their .com's for...

Very puzzling...

I'm still waiting on my 20K+. My turn at the Monster clan is not too far away...

Just out of curiosity, when did your claim arise?

https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=4.16.040

RCW 4.16.040

Actions limited to six years.

The following actions shall be commenced within six years:

(1) An action upon a contract in writing, or liability express or implied arising out of a written agreement, except as provided for in RCW 64.04.007(2).

(2) An action upon an account receivable. For purposes of this section, an account receivable is any obligation for payment incurred in the ordinary course of the claimant's business or profession, whether arising from one or more transactions and whether or not earned by performance.

(3) An action for the rents and profits or for the use and occupation of real estate.

---------

The exception noted in that statute relates to security interests in real property (i.e. mortgages of real property).

Have not filed one yet.

When was it that you weren't paid what you were owed - i.e. when was whatever contract you had breached. At what point in time did Rob owe you money and did not pay it? That's when your claim arose.

For example, if I hit you with my car on January 1, 2025, then in the state of Washington, you have until January 1, 2028 to file an action, because the limit on personal injury claims is three years from when the claim arose. <https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=4.16.080>

Your "claim" arose the moment I hit and injured you.

The statute I posted above is the Washington statute of limitations for contract claims. You have six years from when you were ripped off to file an action. Most of the claims involving Epik are coming up on their fourth or fifth birthday next year.

So, if I was trying to protect Rob Monster, I'd say things like, "Wait until all of these other people have sued him and collected, and then start your lawsuit."

But you can't just let years go by and then take action. That's the point of statutes of limitations.

Slightly off-topic, but it’s nice to see how much the new Epik cares about domainers… or should I say squatters?

Thank you for taking the time to share the above with me.

The money was lost when the Masterbucks debacle started. A short period of time before it became impossible to get funds out, a name was sold. The money went into Masterbucks. Once I realized I could not get it out, I began using it to pick up names...time was limited and the quality of names was low but I did what I could.

I know it is time to get moving on this...once I get some breathing room (have a couple operations coming up so I can sit and compile) perhaps you could steer me in the right direction.

Thanks again...your input her on namepros is so important to us all.

It's almost comical to hear "Protect your online brand!" from Epik, whose own brand is garbage.

The same marketing fluff surfaced years ago, right after Epik got hacked, when they abruptly styled themselves as 'elite' cybersecurity experts.
