Try brandpa or namerific. You can also just list at afternic, Sedo, efty and godaddy and get the same results but pay less commission. Brandbucket commission of 30% is robbery.

I moved my domains away from brandbucket and sold them myself. Same conversion rates if not better and pay 0-15% commission which means way more money in my pocket.

Thanks so much for your reply. My main concern is that it might be (too) difficult to sell invented names on those places. I mean, who would search for "a / gro / neer / . / com"?

Is anyone having success with made up names on Afternic and the like?

Brandbucket is too huge, and it's beneficial only for the big players. Brandpa has lots of domains in their inventory, but nowhere near Brandbucket.

And still, even brandpa no sales in 7 months with 26 domains listed. Though I’ve sold a ton through godaddy, efty, Flippa and afternic.

I didn't have sales for 9 months (2017 April-December) with 50+ domains when Brandpa had less than 1200 domains, but then I sold 2 domains on the same day in January, then another one in April, so 3 sales in 2018 (with an average portfolio size of 75). Be patient, the sale will come when you least count on it.

No point, I get more sales in the same price range using, sedo, afternic, godaddy, flippa and most of all efty. And commissions are far less.

what do you expect from brandbucket?
they are ugly platforms, I don't understand why my domain is rejected and some are accepted but at a low price

when my domain was rejected, he did not explain the reason, only said that it did not suit their market. really sucks

Was wondering is this 40% rate with "blind" screening? I.e. do the moderators see who owns the names? What was your accept rate before becoming the brand ambassador?

Hi Recons, thanks for the kind words. You are correct.

According to BrandBucket, as a domain is processed from first review to sale there is no info on the screen that designates who owns the domain.This is to reduce the chances of incidental bias. At the same time I'm sure an employee could go out of their way and research a domain and find out the owner if they wanted but that is not what they are supposed to do. Instead the system is set up to be generic even at the point of sale. The sales person only looks up the owner when they have completed the sale and its time for the transfer.

My acceptance rate has increased over time as I increased my understanding of what kinds of names BB is looking for. (I've submitted several thousand domains for review)

When I started my rate was horrible. Probably less than 5% but these days I sometimes get half accepted. Some do even better. On an old Domain Sherpa interview, Margot said some veteran sellers had an accept as high as 80%.

So it's a gradual thing. I have not noticed any shift between before or after becoming a brand ambassador.

I have no access to BBs system except for the same seller dashboard everyone else has. I have no access to sales info or any stats except what appears in the BB newsletter. My interactions with Margot and BB staff are in regards to the suggestions and desires of the seller community and giving my opinions on their ideas for seller engagement etc. We don't discuss my portfolio, my domains or my sales. Never.

Like other sellers I sometimes disagree with BB on a domain rejection or a price. I appeal these thru the standard channels (help desk and seller dashboard) and sometimes they adjust to my desire but many times not. I once waited two months to get a response on a domain I appealed So I don't feel I am getting any substantial advantage. My sell through rate is around 2% per year which is low overall compared to other sellers but which I think is normal for a large portfolio that generates a significant amount of sales and income.
