Which ones would you drop?

To be honest eladnof the ones I would drop would be no use to anyone.

I have not filtered through them all so I don't know exactly, most have probably got 9 months plus until renewal date so I have got lots of time to figure out what I will keep.

I am just saying, with future renewals in mind I have probably got about 30 ish domains I would be happy to renew for the next few years.

Was getting carried away with hand reg's and made lots of bad choices.

Added one which I quite like yesterday though which was:

FasionGram dot com

But this will be my last hand reg.

Decided to put my money where my mouth is and have just purchased:

HoloCare
+
HoloSolutions

.com

Bought them from a female dentist who sold HoloLens.com to Microsoft.

If those were your prices then i think you made a great deal
Thanks dude. It was a 'grab them while you can' moment. She's got a crazy portfolio of names.(domaindakini.com) My two are each 14 years old, just collecting dust. I've polished them up and stuck them on domainnamesales.com :)

2 of the best in the category. Congrats. Now that's how you place this game!

Cheers. Not going to get close to the portfolios of @FUTRS and @NamesBond but my hunch is that 'Holo' names are going to fetch higher prices than 'VR' names over the next few years so want to get in now whilst I can...

Can't say I agree with you on your latter point.. I don't see 'Holo' surpassing 'VR' in number of sales or 'fetch higher prices'. I'm curious to know why you think that will be the case?

I well might be wrong  and in terms of volume of sales, yes, VR will probably win hands down, especially that 'Holo' only works effectively at the start of a name whereas 'VR' works both ways. But in terms of applications and interacting with the real world, I reckon holographic/augmented reality is going to find its way into far more areas of our lives. Plus hopefully, Microsoft will become the biggest buyer of 'Holo' domains considering they've chosen it as their brand...

On the other hand Microsoft wont be needing domain names for most of their products as it can all be through Microsoft or Hololens website.
And maybe Other companies wont be using too much holo as it is associated with Microsoft.

Thats why i only got some adult ones..

Well with this logic, microsoft wouldnt adopt holo term also because it was associated with starwara? Sorry but you cant associate holo with just one corp. It is much more generic than you think...

It is generic but only time will tell how often it will be used and what would be the main term for those companies.
On that note, i do believe that the better domains like Holosolutions for example would have a great market.
Others, time will tell.

Considering 3D sales numbers that happened in 2011 alone, I dont expect to a large number of names selling (at least not yet). I have also heard some of the valuations that people where quoted (or at least they claim they where quotedโ€ฆ could be of their own making), and those numbers (based on recent sales) are grossly over exaggerated for what the true price is at this time. Either which way, I submitted some names. I only expect 1 to possibly make it in, and I fully expect to not have any nibbles but would be delighted if I did have a taker. I would also be delighted to keep the domain and develop more. Just my opinion.

Anyone have any thoughts about this?
1. Lets just say you have several top holo or vr names, but the tech is not advanced enough that u can do anything with them yet, Microsoft and other companies however are developing the tech and acquiring top domains. Would u be in danger of being attacked for squatting and loosing the names to said companies.

2. Would it be wise to trademark some of the best ones for protection?

Also Has anyone here with good holo or vr names trademarked them

Thanks

I would not recommend you get protection or trademarks.. cause that will prevent you from taking microsoft to court if they decide one day to attack you for owning a domain that had absolutely nothing to do with microsoft when you registered it.
