I scoped out all of the major players, which aren't a lot. They aren't buying.

The industry got a lot of bad press a year ago about consumers not buying into Beacons. There are big technical hurdles with consumer adaption, including BLE draining batteries and people simply not having it on.

Beacons died a year ago.

Damn same thing with NFC domains. those died even before Beacons did. or did they ever get "born" lol? so much tech like this comes and goes. learned hard way to keep it generic now.

I registered these names like common brandable names, iBeacon - interactive beacon/ internet beacons/ etc. mBeacon - mobile beacon/my beacon.

Are you saying you approached end users to sell beacon domains?

Are you saying major players are not implementing beacons though they could?


I'd say this still is future domaining but yes if the future does not come it is a losing bet.

I've done pretty well with Beacon and IoT names and they are still in play for me as I still field offers for them. Like any niche, do what's best for YOU and with the quality of names in your portfolio.
