domain Discount-Motels

Thanks to a namepros member in the Available thread, I picked up

Discount-Motels [dot] com at reg-fee.

I don't like the hyphen, but this term gets 11,000,000 Google ("") and 12,000,000 (without ""), and pages and pages of $$$ ads.

I'm thinking of trying it out on Google's Adsense for domains or a mini-site.

Of course, selling is always an option--this is not the kind of domain I would hold for development.

What do you think it might be worth?

I don't think it's worth much, but probably in the range of mid $XX, undeveloped.

You might want to consider setting up a directory for cheap motels if you ever decide to develop. That's probably what it's for.

This is one of those names where if its about a subject you have passion about its a cool name. Its for someone that feels like making a huge motel listing. On the other hand it if didnt have the "s" it would have some appeal to single motel owners.

That hyphen doesn't help (in terms of domain value), but developed it could have good possibilities. I like that directory idea.

The term itself is popular and generic, between 7,000,000-11,000,000 Google with quotes.

Lots of ads.

But I agree it will do nothing as a parked page (I haven't done anything with it yet--I'm at Disney this week with my four-year-old granddaughter).

I suspect that the the non-hyphenated version is monetizing very well. (It's parked).
