I'm new to all this and just started buying domains from people (as opposed to registering domains myself).

I bought 2 LLL.ins from a forum member and gave him my Customer Id # and email address for my account at Mitsu.in. His LLL.ins are with a Directi Reseller and Mitsu is a Directi Reseller so I thought transferring wouldn't be a problem.

Today the seller told me when he tried to push the names but got this error:

"[r6] Error Message: The Customer account you are trying to move the domain name to is under Registrar #1 Indian Domains. You will need to initiate a Domain Transfer Request from #1 Indian Domains to accomplish this."

I'm new to all this so I don't know anything about transferring/pushing domains. I did some reading at Mitsu and don't see anything about requesting a transfer. From what I understand, the person who owns the domain takes care of the push on their end.

Can anyone shed some light on this problem?

Mitsu is a different Registrar altogether. He is not a Reseller of Directi. Mitsu is only using the directi platform to sell and manage domains. This is why he cannot push the domain. He will need to transfer it to a Directi Customer account.

Right now, the best option for you Trevor will be to sign up for a customer account at Mitsu and then ask the seller to push it to your Mitsu account.

I just found out his Reseller account is at Whiz.in (mine is Mitsu.in). I had thought Mitsu was a Directi Reseller. I opened an account with Whiz.in so it should all work now.
