I found out when it had already started, but Name.com had a happy hour in which you could register as many .me names as you wanted at 99 cents per name.

I was able to register a few numeric .me.

Did you register any?

no, all good ones are taken and renewal cost is a bit high to speculate on long Numeric chips. IMO
