I stumbled across a story today that I found rather interesting. The Norwegian online grocery story Kolonial.no has decided to expand to the international market. Not only have they decided to expand across Europe, they will also rebrand to "Oda".
I was quick to check if ODA.com was for sale and who the owner may be. The current registrant of Oda.com is still listed as Alan Dunn, but in an article over at Shifter.no, ( https://shifter.no/nyheter/kolonial...da-skal-apne-nettmat-butikk-i-utlandet/207095 ) the CEO of Kolonial.no, Karl Munthe-Kaas, claims they've already acquired Oda.com. The price was supposedly in the "two-digit" million range (in Norwegian Kroners). Today 1 USD is about 8.5 NOK, so if this indeed was a Kr xx,000,000 purchase, the agreed price must have been above $1mill USD.
Interesting times for the LLL.com's these days. Congrats to Alan!
