Did it at last - Rednerve in CSS!

Well, after many hours of pouring over lines and lines of CSS coding and several cups of tea at 3am in the morning, I finally converted Rednerve to a CSS layout :tu:

There's also some other design changes and I would like reviews on the site and if people find any bugs, I'd appreciate it if they could tell me.

Thanks - www.rednerve.com.

Will.

I'll get the errors fixed, meant to check those but just never got round to it, hehe. Anyone got any comments on the actual visual look and feel of the site, like things to improve upon or change etc?

Thanks again and I appreciate the kind words, Mike,

Will.

I guess I will make comments on the site's looks.

The reds you used look great together. The site is very easy to use and navigate. Your contract was also a good read. Glad to see you are looking after the clients needs and your own back. Also, I do suggest changing those images ("Contact Me" and "View Portfolio") on the left side to text. There is no real reason for them to be images. If I can think of anything else about the site I will give you an update.

I liked it better the old way ( I don't really remember much difference but I think I still liked the old one more ), but the load time has greatly decreased. Nice job on the site, does the client section work?

Yes, the client login section does work, you can test it using the following details:

Username: client1
Password: herewego

More feedback welcome :tu:

Hey There

Really liked the colours and images are great. Site has a very nice crisp feel. I'm not sure about the box images with the links to your contact us and portfolio. Overall, I think its awesome!!!

Thanks for the kind comment, always appreciate them :tu: The portfolio and contact images were the only things worrying me, I'll do some more graphic work later tonight :)

Has anyone got any more ideas for what I should put in the right-hand side column? Links to contact and portfolio are not really needed, I guess, as they are in the navigation bar anyway. So, any ideas?

Thanks,

Will.

I will have a look and think about what you can put there. Page still does not validate.

That's because I haven't tackled validation yet

I;ll discuss about design (never cared for validations). it's a very nice design. Good colours, light and pleasant theme, good text organization in the layout. I like it.

Great color scheme. Looks good with the new CSS validation. I also think this will help your site out in the future.

I am happy that people upgrade their sites to new standards even though the consumer sees the same thing.

OK, just an update - the site is now fully valid XHTML and CSS (no warnings now) but I'd welcome checks on the pages (links to validation in the bottom-right) to ensure that they do validate.

Also, I have redesigned the right-hand side "portfolio" and "contact" images so I'd like opinions on what those look like and how they fit in with the site.

Other comments on the site are also welcome!

Thanks,

Will.

It looks great, well done! I love the colour scheme you have used, and the layout is brilliant as well.
It's also good to see another designer from the UK ;)
