There's nothing under closing time... I don't get why it says pending auction if I just bid on it?

The domain is going to a private auction where you and the other bidder can place your bids. The highest bid wins the domain

ok thank you. I thought that was the final auction? Is it going to private because a reserve hasn't been met yet?

No. what you had earlier isn't even an auction. If no one placed a bid, the domain will be yours (unless there is a reserve price), but because you and another one placed the bid, now only you and him will be able to participate in the auction.
