Did I my homework right?

Hello.
5 days ago i was browsing a sitepoint web sites sales. i was reading about how did that web sites started for example in march 2007 and now they generate 1-2k of incomes. So i could not sleep after it. I registered a similar domain, and followed the ideas of some of that sites.
i registered smallloanonline.com, put a bunch of loan articles, small loan leads, adsence, some links from clickbank and cj, and amazon. I submitted domain to different SE, classifieds, even local classifieds. I have got about 100 visits, but no sales/clicks at all. What else i should do, or what i am doing wrong?
any advice would be appretiated.

What you read is not always the WHOLE story, and just because something is similar it does not mean it's the same or will produce the same results.

If things were that easy we'd ALL be sitting poolside right now on some tropical island sipping drinks with little umbrellas in them.
