Hi All

I wanted to start this thread to ask if anyone has experience with PPL(PAY FOR LEADS) AND OR PPS (PAID FOR SALES) and how it compares to ppc rev.????

The reason I ask is have potional high conversion style traffic and was wanting some insight from anyone who may have accts with places like CJ etc.

Is it wise and profitable to establish a site that has mainly links to say for instance payday loan sites, home loan sites etc, also is it profitable sending traffic to this mini site from say a google acct (paid advertising)???

Also are there any other decent affiliate programs other than CJ that have the PPL and PPS advertisers???

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

Sure, by switching to affiliate mini sites you cut out 2 fat men from the foodchain: domain parking company and feed owner (Ask/Google/Yahoo).

My name is George Pickering and I ran Respond.com a PPL company. PPL only works in a narrower window of categories, but in those categories PPL is more lucrative than PPC as evidenced that most PPL companies are themselves large PPC advertisers on Google and Yahoo.

Remember most PPL companies sell a lead to 3 to 5 advertisers and PPL fees are much higher than click fees.

All PPL companies have an affliate program. Most of them don't use CJ. Respond used CJ back in the early 00s, then decided we could do our own affliate program since we had all the tracking built into the software to handle our private label deals.

I am no longer at Respond, I have a new PPL company. So this is not an advertisement for them. They are my competitor. IAC also has alot of PPL companies like Servicemagic, LendingTree, etc.

George

Pls PM me the name of the company ya have now

I will also look into respond.com

Its interesting what I am trying to accomplish with the ppl and pps

I got approved for a advertiser at cj for a niche market where a "lead only" will pay $35.

I purchase my arbritrage from say google for my parked domains anywhere from 60-70 c in hopes of making $1-$2. I honest do not know industry % on a lead conversion though lets say even if 1 of 10 of those google visits turns into a lead, in parking rev. I made say on high end $20. In comparision with the same visitors I made $35 with the ppl co.

I am not saying that all domain traffic is good at a pps or ppl co. Just I have seen alot recently complain that their ppc rev is down, the parking co's do not disclose their transparency etc.

If their confident in their traffic why not diversify some of their traffic in other areas???

I am myself only looking into the ppl/pps style of traffic and hope someone who has some experience in this area can comment on their experiences in this marketplace?? GOOD OR NOT

I seen anywhere from 1 out of 5 to 1 out of 100 on conversion rates. All matters on the source, the lead form, the ad text, etc.

Multiple page forms can have a huge drop off. Our average is 1 out of 10 to 1 out of 7

I will post information about our affliate program when we launch it later this year. GP

PPL Traffic

George, please PM me about your new PPL company as I'm very interested in learning more. I own a fencing and painting company in Seattle and I've used Respond, Service Magic, etc. at various times to supplement my business when times are slow. As my business sites have steadily climbed Google SERPS for key terms I use these PPL companies less and less.

I also have a number of domains that are being developed (apartment and hotel mini sites) with the purpose of arbitraging traffic through CJ. They are not yet live, but getting there.

Any insight you have on PPL is very much appreciated.

He told me his site is still in the beginning stages and plans to start the site later in the yr.

In ref to ppl style traffic

Do ya have any comparisions to domain parking vs ppl on domains?? In other words do ya have a parking porfolio to compare #'s with???

Thats the main objective of this thread , is hoping someone has some solid #'s that can compare traffic to domain parking style sites vs getting traffic to a domain or domains that have the affilate links to ppl and ppc co's???

You will probably want to try and blend affiliate links in with your other content.

It is also pretty hard to try and do arbitrage with affiliate links, not impossible, but not easy and also expensive.

A lot of my affiliate income come from leads. I am currently working with only two companies: NeverBlueAds and AffiliateBot. PM me for an affiliate link or if you need any more information...

Good Luck!
