Can anyone give me an idea of short dictionary words with a .ws extension? Are they worth registering?

I have an opportunity to register a 5 letter dictionary word with a .ws extension for $9.99

Would this be a worthwile investment?

As Tippy said, it depends upon the word. (And I echo all4's words about Tippy- he is also one of the members who is most active in this market).
There continue to be .com dictionary words that haven't been registerred- are they worth reg fee? Tough call.

+/- Yes - you are correct .... Most "Dictionary" .com domains left are really not used much in everyday occurrences -OR- are derivatives of "Real Dictionary Words" IE : adding "ed" "ing" "s" - You know - making verbs, adjectives, plural/non-plural forms, etc .... out of them .....

"ly", "able", "ity" etc endings. Adverbs, adjs etc.
The more common words are long gone, but there are still some out there.
ie I recently regged doodlings.com and dexterously.com- not saying they carry alot of value, but they are dictionary words.

Well, I did receive a PM, my advice was dont Register it... not all dictionary words have value, just like this one, it had no product nor service associated with the name, it was just a word with no development usage what-so-ever.

Let's not get too carried away now Harpo. It was doodlings.com not doodling. :D Wish that it were doodling (singular), however. Actually, upon closer examination, I was incorrect about "doodlings"- it isn't a dictionary word at all. :o :guilty:
I would have regged it anyways, but, alas, just another example of the slim pickings of avail. .com dictionary words.

would disagree that good words with .ws extension are worth having
I'm inclined to agree. .ws definitely has it's problems. On the otherhand, with a developed site, good keywords have some advantages. I have 6-7 .ws that I keep as a hedge against the possibility that the ext does go somewhere. The ones that I have sold have fetched $30-$35 at Afternic Bazaar, but they were very good keywords.
