:'( Diamond.com went for 7 million. It was a developed site though.

When i first started domaining, i acquired few .cc names and one of them is "Diamond.cc". I let it drop though... :'(

Under new trading strategy i reshuffle my portfolio and I don't own any more ccTLD domains apart from .co.uk.

Now there is no more "Diamond".ccTLD available. I just checked on Idotz.net.

This is the most devastating news on my entire domaining career.

Let it be, Let it be :'(

Don't stress too much about it.

You don't see too many .cc going for $1k+ or even $100+.

.com is and always will be king.

i recon diamond.cc might go for 1k atleast. I would be more than happy to sell it for 1k or even $800 . :sold:

Anyway, no point crying a river now. :'(

i left ccTLD market long time ago. no regret. :(

i love my TLDs :xf.love:

I am not sure if this is at all related, but I have noticed a really nice increase in clicks on unclaimed-diamonds.com ... I have this parked at NameDrive and I am getting almost 50% click rate... it is by far my best parked domain as far as that goes.... And the clicks really started to pck up in the last couple of weeks :D

Why did Diamond go for that much? Fish went for only 1mil and it's got only four letters. Mind you, Diamonds are a bigger market than Fish are :).

'Diamond' is a big insurance company for women in the UK, although you would not know it by their website.

Diamond.com was sold with the contents & Intellectual Properties. ITs a company though. I think we can't bring diamond.com's sale into our domain sales context.

Once a domain is developed, its no more a domain. It should be regarded as a business(property).

I think cellphones.com & Fish.com are the post-bubble million dollar babies.

I thought chinese people like jade more than diamonds. If i'm right owner of jade.com would be giggling now. Jade.com is owned by FMA.com. The rumour has it, whatever goes in never comes out of FMA.com's portfolio.

I have to say that is the most boring looking parking page I have ever seen - I think the name deserves so much more than this, parking page or not IMO

What a shame :td:

I should agree.

FMA is owned by Thunayan Khalid AL-Ghanim, subject to Dnjournal's cover story April 22, 2003 http://www.dnjournal.com/columns/coverstory2.htm

They owned few gems like media.com and Fed.com but ended up developing sites like mp3.tv. Even the development quality is not very enticing.

Why domainers can't develop sites like annuity.com or diamond.com ? especially all these big fishes swiming in the money ocean.

I guess if you own 800,000 domains developing them into operational sites could be a logistical nightmare, however - that parking page for Jade.com is just plain ugly IMO - Skenzo have some nice examples - still a parking page but it is attractive. At least NameAdmin ones have a bit of colour to them.

chances are these people that have owned several hundred domains over a few years are very likely to forget exactly what they own - I have with less than 200

Quantity is not very important i guess. If you own 200 most wanted domain names by VSB, then i can see you reciting them like a bible. :hehe:

Sometimes i see tadpoles like us having big dreams, like Oscar on "Sharks Tale".

BTW, i had an eye on your logo for sometime now. I like the way you change your appearance like google does for every Bank Holidays.
I would love to have you "Pussy" on one of my "yet-to-be Reged" name. i like the pussy's shivery posture with eerie look. I believe you don't need beer goggle for that. :hehe:
