Getting lots of e-mails from Chinese people offering to buy it. Was thinking of selling it at auction, but don't want to waste time/money if it's not worth at least $1000.

What do you think?

You can probably get that at a GoDaddy 7 day auction. Since there is no cost, there is no harm in trying. Just set your starting bid at $1000 and see what happens. If you sell I think its a 20% commission. You can always lower it if needed. Don't be discouraged if you get no bids until the last few minutes.

You should try to sell it here on NP for 1050.
This is the same as if you sell it on GD for 1300 (which I doubt you'll get).

No need to go Godaddy you might not going to reach 1200 there if lucky you can get that price but then you paying fees.
