Have found some Japanese developed mobi sites.
I have google translated some sites to see what these sites are used for,
translation not clear on some but,

http://konohen.mobi/ Realestate search site?

http://mchan.mobi/ misc.

http://makura.mobi/ Comfort Pillow site

http://gakuseikaikan.mobi/ Student Union

http://dempa.mobi/ Social Network

http://www.ryokou-j.mobi/ Travel, Tourism, Inn listing

http://takei.mobi/ Shopping

http://ooya.mobi/user/page.php Property search, Rooms for rent search

And while I was looking at Yahoo Japan for these sites found Pilot.mobi (by NP mobi forum member oxford11) indexed as well. Yay!

ooya .mobi!!!

I hope I didn't just say something offensive in Japanese; I should probably stick to what you said: Yay!

Pilot.mobi is great.

Many thanks for the reminder that in the land of mobile the sun also rises in the East!

P.S.: And even here in the West it's not so dark anymore IMH:angelic:

While I was researching these sites, I thought to myself 'It is so on!"

Just curious Have you regged any names that would appeal to the Japanese ?

Because i see nothing on that list that americans ( i dont know if you are ) but would consider generic.

And your question is related to my thread's OP how? WT*! I am not gonna
waste my time explaining what already is . Which is these Japanese
business owners thought these name relevant to what they needed and made up a site for their use. Period. Start picking fights else where.

Dear thegenuis1,

After reading your IDN names and re-reading the post over a few times, I am concluding that I may have misunderstood you. My apologies.

Yes I have few names that are targeted for this market, You also have some great Japanese IDN names that are premium in my opinion on your sig. And eventhough I don't post there, I do visit IDN section of this forum in hope that I can gain some insight. but, If you don't mind I'd like to keep the topic to these developed mobis.

As I'm sure you can see that the name for the eye doctor Ganka is a generic term for Eye Clinic phonetically read & described in English. So this eye doctor has a generic mobi of his trade.

Ditto for Gakuseikaikan as well. Phonetically read generic student union.

Kankando( Sweet Hall) is the name of the Ice Cream shop read Phonetically
in English. As I see those do( hall) a lot at the end of traditional Japanese shop names i.e) rice cake shop that has been in business for five generations of owners or such. in which case the branding has been done for hundreds of years and ppl instantly will recognize the name.

Mchan I am assuming means Mr. M

And the ii4510 for the job agency, I am not sure what that name represents though. Hmm,do you know about this name?
