I am not sure if I am allowed to post a heads up - design contest(s) coming in the very near future... if not... I totally understand if this thread gets deleted...
I have never posted a design contest before and am not sure the proper way to phrase what I am going to need...
I will be doing 6 different contests... individually...
for each one the winning design will have an expected end use of being used
on a site as a header (possibly) as a button or banner... as an icon... as a potential logo... on business cards and stationery... on a bumper sticker...
on wearables or other products etc...
not saying I will use the winning design that way - just saying that when I view the enteries - those categories of usage will be in the back of my mind...
very well may be that I only ever end up using the winning design as a little logo on the website...
what formats will I need the winning graphic in - if I wanted to potentially use it the variety of ways described above ??
if I got the graphic in one format - would another designer later be able to convert that to other formats of other uses ?? - or would the design be
useless to me unless - orginially provided to me in a SPECIFIC type format ??
- - - what format do I need the design in at the get go - - - can you tell I have zero graphics knowledge... LOL... that's why I will be running the contest here - where there are so many good designers... and they are friendly enough to help me learn how to ask for what I NEED - in the correct way... (smile)

and the REASON for providing the potential designer contest participants with this heads UP - is so they can gather whatever they need to - to be on target for the theme... don't use copyrighted images that I wouldn't be able to use in my designs...
1. pilgrim theme / design for a media company called: Pilgrim-Media.com
and in the version PilgrimMedia.com (harvest colors)
2. fireman - firehouse related
3. pizza related
4. landscape (outdoor landscape) and water feature related
5. tiger mascot - school related - colors white / black / orange
6. jewelry / diamond related

I would also very much like to see a link to your portoflio or samples that you have done in the past... via post here - or PM...
I am leaning towards - offering the winner or winner (might choose 2) the
chance to design for my future projects numbers 2-6 above - instead of posting it as a contest ... no guarantees on that though... but it's only fair to first offer more work to a designer that did a good job for me - (if possible) than to run repeated contests - that they may or may not see in time to enter...
I am considering each contest being a $50 USD via paypal winner
(or equivalent in NP$ to equal $50 usd - if winner prefers)
