Usually the --ly kills a domain but I think you could do something with yours. I still can't see big $$$ but it might pull in at least mid $xx :)

Thanks Archangel... I will either sell as is or develope into a writers site.
On the side of things another site I picked up, emote.us I may develope into a site for actors in the States.

Cheers...and rep given :gl:

this domain name is way too hard to spell. I can see many people (including myself) making mistakes when entering this domain name into the browser address bar.
Due to the complexity of the domain name, I don't think it is worth that much.

I sold smashingly.com for $10 bucks on ebay. :)

I agree about the fact it it may be hard too spell for most. If it were geared towards writers, students and educators I think it may work.

Overture got: word painting a guide to writing more descriptively/314
google: "Descriptively" 593,000

Its saving grace---its a.com
:]

I will take my chances as a site to develope..

I have to say that 'descriptively' is one of those niche names that unfortunately are fated not for stardom. 'ly' have a way of pulling down the value. The market will not beckon to this one. Low low xx.

I would agree Acronis, though not "fated for stardom" A name registered for $5.99, that may be for me--less of a quick buck and more of something to develope. I have discovered a name may fall into various categories; A name to park, to later sell. A name to develope that one may later sell, A name to park and recoup enough to make even a little profit or a considerable amount over time. And then there are those names, niche names, project names, or names that tie into an interest. In this case, "Descriptively.com" I have literary leanings so for me it is less of a risk. I can tie it into other sites I plan to develope and not sell. Examples of this would be Wordshift.com, or Creativewriter.info.

I can appreciate your rationale. It is very sound. Your plan to tie to other TLDs is well thought out.
Cheers.
